Richmond Running Festival coming soon

The annual running event in London that raises money for local charities and groups, the Richmond Running Festival, is happening later this year. Don’t hesitate, go ahead and register or mark your interest in one of the many events happening that weekend. This year’s festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, September 14th and 15th. Races will be held at Kew Gardens and Old Deer Park. The Richmond Fitness Expo and Music Festival will also be going on at Old Deer Park both days. The main charity that will receive donations this year will be The British Heart Foundation. If you would like to give to another charity though, you are welcome to do so.

Saturday races include the Richmond 5k, which is pirate themed, various mile races for the kids and the Kew Gardens 10k. If you participate in the 5k and finish, you will get a medal and a t-shirt from Nike, who is one of the sponsors. On Sunday, the Nike Family Funrun and Richmond marathon and half marathon will be held.

There will be vendors in Old Deer Park all weekend. If you are watching someone run in the Kew Gardens 10k, your admission fee will be waived if you come early before the race. Whether you want to participate in a run, or just come and observe and enjoy the food and music, there will be plenty to do.
